The Origin of the Name

The "Blue Ridge" was born from the idea of the hazy horizon. When you stand on a red clay trail in the heat of the afternoon, the distant mountains don't look green or brown; they take on a deep, misty indigo. It’s that "blue hour" of the wilderness—a reminder that no matter how deep your roots are in the local soil, there is always something higher and more vast waiting to be explored.

The Story

We wanted a hat that captured the duality of the modern explorer: someone who respects the Red Clay they were raised on but constantly feels the pull of the Blue Ridge in the distance.

The colorway was inspired by a specific morning in the Appalachian highlands—where the grey mist of the early hours clings to the slate rock, and the teal-green pines start to peek through as the sun rises. We chose the 7-panel design because it mirrors the steady, horizontal lines of a mountain silhouette.

What it Represents

  • The Roots: The sturdy, flat-bill construction and classic mesh represent the grit of the work day.

  • The Ridge: The unique "water-camo" pattern and sky-blue embroidery represent the clarity and peace found at the summit.

The Blue Ridge is for the person who isn't afraid to get a little red clay on their boots if it means getting a better view of the peaks. It’s a tribute to the path between where you stand and where you’re going.
